PainTap Privacy Policy
PainTap Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
1. Overview
PainTap (the "App") is a one-tap pain and symptom logging tool. The App requires no account and never transmits your pain/symptom records to any server. All records are stored only on your device.
2. Information We Process
2.1 Pain & Symptom Records
Body part, symptom type, intensity, notes and timestamps you log are stored only in the on-device database and are never uploaded. They are deleted together with the App. When you use the Share feature, a text summary is passed only to the app you explicitly choose (e.g. a messenger).
2.2 Advertising Data (Google AdMob)
The free version shows Google AdMob ads. In that process Google may collect advertising identifiers (ADID/IDFA), device information (model, OS version), coarse location (IP-based) and ad interaction data. See the Google Privacy Policy. EEA/UK users can choose personalized ads via the GDPR consent form at first launch; iOS users via the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
2.3 Payments
The one-time "Remove Ads" purchase is processed by Google Play / Apple App Store. The App never collects or stores payment details; it only verifies the purchase receipt.
3. Retention & Deletion
We keep no personal data on our servers. All records live on your device and can be deleted anytime with the in-app delete button or by uninstalling the App.
4. Medical Disclaimer
The App is not a medical device and provides no diagnosis, treatment or prescriptions. Records are for reference only — always consult a healthcare professional for medical concerns.
5. Children
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
6. Your Rights
You can change personalized-ads consent anytime via device settings (ad ID reset, ATT settings) or by reinstalling the App. Records can be deleted directly in the App.
