SwipeClean Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 21, 2026
Effective Date: Upon app release

1. Overview

SwipeClean (the "App") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

Core principle: SwipeClean has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your photos are never collected, stored, or transmitted. All photo processing happens on your device.

2. Photo Library Access

The App requires access to your iOS photo library for its core function: cleaning up your photos.

  • Your photos and videos are displayed and processed on your device only. They are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.
  • Deletion only happens when you confirm it in the in-app Trash and approve the iOS system confirmation dialog.
  • Deleted items remain in the iOS "Recently Deleted" album for 30 days and can be recovered during that period.
  • You can change the permission at any time in iOS Settings.

3. Advertising (Free Version)

The free version shows Google AdMob ads (banner, interstitial, app-open, and rewarded).

  • The App requests non-personalized ads only and does not use App Tracking Transparency (ATT) tracking.
  • To serve ads, the Google ads SDK may collect limited device information such as IP address, device model, and ad performance data. See the Google Privacy Policy for details.
  • Users in the EEA/UK and applicable regions are shown a consent (GDPR) flow before ads are served.
  • Purchasing Pro (one-time) removes all ads.

4. What We Do Not Collect

  • Account information, names, or email addresses: not collected.
  • Your photos, videos, or their metadata: there is no app server and nothing is transmitted.
  • First-party analytics: not used.

5. In-App Purchases

The Pro unlock (one-time purchase) is processed by the Apple App Store (StoreKit). Apple handles all payment information; the App operator never receives your payment details. If a purchase is refunded, Pro entitlement is revoked automatically.

6. Network Usage

The App uses the network for exactly three things: (1) App Store purchases/restores via StoreKit, (2) loading ads in the free version (Google AdMob), and (3) displaying these legal pages. Your photo data is never sent over the network. For iCloud-optimized libraries, full-resolution loading is performed directly between iOS and Apple iCloud.

7. Children

The App collects no personal information and does not serve ads targeted at children.

8. Changes to This Policy

Changes will be posted on this page. Significant changes will be noted in app update notes.
