Unbitten Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

1. Overview

Unbitten (the "App") is a personal tool for tracking your habit-reversal practice and nail-biting recovery progress. The App requires no account and never transmits your records to any server. All records are stored only on your device.

2. Information We Process

2.1 Training & Log Data

Your urge session logs (time, duration), trigger tags (stress, boredom, screens, focus, anxiety), 10-finger nail board status, regrowth tracking values, and clean streak are stored only in the on-device database and are never uploaded. They are deleted together with the App.

2.2 Hand Photo Diary

Weekly hand photos are stored only in on-device storage and are never transmitted or uploaded to any server. You can delete photos at any time in the App.

2.3 Advertising Data (Google AdMob)

The free version shows Google AdMob ads. In that process Google may collect advertising identifiers (ADID/IDFA), device information (model, OS version), coarse location (IP-based) and ad interaction data. See the Google Privacy Policy. EEA/UK users can choose personalized ads via the GDPR consent form at first launch; iOS users via the App Tracking Transparency prompt.

2.4 Payments

The one-time "Remove Ads" purchase is processed by Google Play / Apple App Store. The App never collects or stores payment details; it only verifies the purchase receipt.

2.5 Notifications

Recovery milestone reminders use local device notifications only — no server push. You can disable them in Settings.

3. Retention & Deletion

We keep no personal data on our servers. All records and photos live on your device and can be deleted anytime by resetting in the App or uninstalling it.

4. Health Disclaimer

The App is not a medical device and provides no diagnosis, treatment or prescriptions. Content such as the habit-reversal exercises and recovery milestone timeline summarizes commonly known information for reference only — always consult a healthcare professional for skin or nail health concerns (e.g. infection, inflammation, or developmental issues).

5. Children

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Your Rights

You can change personalized-ads consent anytime via device settings (ad ID reset, ATT settings) or by reinstalling the App. Records and photos can be deleted directly in the App.
