1. The Service
FilmDev is a darkroom-safe multi-stage timer that guides you through developing black-and-white (B&W) and C-41 film (develop, stop, fix, wash, etc.). You can create your own recipes by entering film stock, developer, dilution, and temperature, and the App calculates temperature-compensated timing based on your input. The times and values provided by the App are a reference aid only and do not guarantee your film-developing results. The free tier includes 3 recipes and ads on non-timer screens; the paid unlock (filmdev_pro) removes ads and enables unlimited recipes plus JSON export/import.
2. Acceptable Use
Use the App on your own device for personal, non-commercial purposes. You are solely responsible for confirming temperature, timing, and safety when actually developing film.
3. Purchases and Refunds
Removing ads and unlocking Pro features is a one-time purchase (product ID filmdev_pro, $4.99) processed by Google Play / Apple App Store. Refunds follow each store's refund policy.
4. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is." The starter recipes and temperature-compensation calculation included in the App are compiled for reference from manufacturer datasheets and are not a commercially validated dataset. You must independently verify times and temperatures through your own testing. The App is not liable for film damage, failed development, or any other outcome.
5. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be revised as needed. Material changes will be announced via the App or its store listing.
