1. Overview

HearWise (the "App") captures sound around you with your device microphone and amplifies it in real time through your headphones. The App requires no account, contains no advertising, and transmits no data to any server. Everything runs on your device.

2. How microphone audio is handled

Microphone audio is used only for real-time amplification. It is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. Audio is processed in device memory and played to your headphones instantly - it never becomes a file and never leaves your device.

3. Information we collect

3.1 App settings and usage data

Your boost level, selected preset, Clarity mode setting, left/right balance, and usage-time statistics are stored on your device only. They are never transmitted, and we operate no server that collects them.

3.2 Purchases

The one-time lifetime unlock is processed by the Apple App Store. The App never sees or stores your payment details; it only checks the store receipt to confirm your purchase.

3.3 Advertising and analytics

The App contains no advertising SDK and no tracking code, and does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) or your location.

4. Retention and deletion

We hold no personal data on any server. The on-device data above is removed when you delete the App.

5. Children

The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Listening safety

Boost starts low by design. Prolonged listening at high volume can be harmful to your hearing. Use the lowest comfortable volume and avoid extended continuous listening.
