1. What HearWise is
HearWise is a general-purpose sound amplifier that captures sound with your device microphone and amplifies it in real time through your headphones. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose hearing conditions or replace professional hearing care. If you are concerned about your hearing, consult a specialist.
2. Conditions of use
Headphones are required to prevent audio feedback. Do not use the App in situations where natural awareness of your surroundings is essential to safety, such as driving.
3. Purchases
The full unlock is a one-time lifetime purchase processed by the Apple App Store. Refunds follow store policy.
4. Listening safety
Prolonged listening at high volume can be harmful to your hearing. Start with a low boost and stop immediately if you feel discomfort.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is". Amplification quality varies with device, headphones, and environment, and no specific result is guaranteed. The App is not a substitute for medical advice.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the App.
