This Privacy Policy explains how playmayday.com ("MAYDAY"), operated by Hedvion, collects and uses information when you play the game or create an account.

1. What we collect

• Email address — required to create an account. Used to send authentication codes and purchase-related notifications only. We send no marketing email.
• Device identifier — a token stored on your device to enforce the three-device activation limit per account.
• Gameplay data — your rescue count (★), chart (explored areas), logbook entries, callsign, and stamp balance. This data is stored so your progress persists across sessions.
• Access logs — standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages requested. Retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.

2. What we do not collect

We do not collect passwords (authentication is OTP-only; codes are hashed and expire in 10 minutes). We do not collect your real name, address, or payment card details — purchases are handled entirely by Polar Software Inc., whose privacy policy governs that data.

3. How we use your data

Your email is used exclusively to send login codes and order-confirmation messages. Gameplay data is used to provide and improve the game experience. Access logs are used for security monitoring and debugging.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your email and order information are shared with Polar Software Inc. only to the extent necessary to process purchases. We may disclose data if required by law.

5. Cookies and local storage

MAYDAY uses browser local storage to remember your pilot name, aircraft choice, and livery preferences between sessions. No third-party tracking cookies are used for advertising purposes.

6. Data retention and deletion

Your account data is retained while your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at [email protected]. Deletion removes your email, device tokens, and gameplay records. Access logs are retained for up to 30 days regardless of account status.

7. Children

MAYDAY is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
