1. Overview

PriceLens (the "App") analyzes a photo of a secondhand item you capture or select, identifies the item, and shows an estimated resale price range based on real eBay listings. The App works without account registration, and scanned items and their price estimates are recorded in an on-device ledger.

2. Information We Process

2.1 Photos (Item Scans)

Photos you capture or select from your library are sent to our servers for price identification, and are passed to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to perform that identification. Uploaded photos are discarded immediately after identification and are not stored by us or by the third-party provider. Only the identification result (item name, category, and similar text) is returned to the App for display, and is saved to your device ledger only if you choose to save it.

2.2 Price Data

The estimated price ranges shown in the App are derived from a search of active listings on the eBay open marketplace. They are estimates and may differ from actual sale prices; no price is guaranteed.

2.3 Device Identifier

To manage the free usage limit (3 scans per day) without requiring an account, the App uses an anonymous device ID as a server-side counter only. This identifier is not linked to your name, contact details, or any other personal identity.

2.4 Ledger (Scan and Sale Records)

Ledger data - scanned items, notes, sold status (up to 25 entries free, unlimited with Pro) - is stored only on your device (local database). Cloud backup is not currently offered; it is a planned Pro feature and this policy will be updated when it launches.

2.5 Purchases

Subscriptions (PriceLens Pro Monthly and Yearly) and the consumable scan pack are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. The App never collects or stores payment card details; it only verifies purchase and subscription status through the store.

2.6 Advertising and Tracking

This App contains no advertising SDK and performs no advertising-related tracking. There is no advertising identifier collection and no App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.

3. Retention and Deletion

Scanned photos are discarded immediately after identification and are never retained on our servers. The device identifier is kept server-side solely to count free-tier usage. Ledger data is stored only on your device and is removed when you delete records in the App or uninstall the App.

4. Children

The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

5. Price Estimate Notice

Price ranges provided by the App are reference estimates derived from eBay listing searches and are not a guarantee of actual sale price or market value. Please verify pricing independently before any significant transaction.
