Scanbox is a privacy-first document scanner published by HEDVION. This policy explains what Scanbox does and does not do with your information.

1. Our privacy stance

Scanbox processes everything on your device. Capture, edge detection, image enhancement, OCR and PDF generation never leave your phone. There are no accounts, no cloud storage and no server-side sync.

2. What we do not collect

We do not collect, upload, transmit or have access to:

• your scanned documents, images or pages;
• the text produced by on-device OCR;
• the PDF files you generate;
• any account, sign-in or contact information (there are no accounts).

The content of your documents is never sent off the device and is never used for analytics.

3. Data stored on your device

Your documents, pages and their OCR text are stored locally on your device only, so the App can show your library and let you re-open, edit and export scans. This data stays on the device. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data permanently deletes it.

4. Advertising and purchases

In the free tier the App shows ads through a third-party network (Google AdMob). To serve ads, the ad SDK may collect device and advertising identifiers and similar technical data as described in Google's policies. This data is used for advertising only and never includes your document content. Purchasing Pro removes ads. In-app purchases are handled by the app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) under its own privacy policy; we do not receive your payment card details.

5. Analytics

No analytics SDK ships your documents or OCR text. Any crash or usage telemetry is opt-in and never includes document content.

6. When the network is used

Scanbox connects to the internet only to (a) load advertising in the free tier, (b) process in-app purchases through the app store, and (c) display these legal pages. Document scanning and processing require no network connection.

7. Children

Scanbox is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your local law) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Your choices and rights

Because your documents live only on your device, you control them directly: delete individual scans in the App, or remove everything by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it. You can limit ad personalization through your device's advertising settings, and remove ads entirely by purchasing Pro.

9. Third-party services

The advertising network and app store referenced above are independent third parties that operate under their own privacy policies, which apply to their processing of your data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will appear on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
