Spectrum Privacy Policy
Spectrum Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
1. Overview
Spectrum (the "App") visualizes microphone input as a real-time frequency spectrum and spectrogram. The App does not require an account and never uploads audio to any server. All analysis (FFT), measurement storage, and image generation happen entirely on your device.
2. Information We Process
2.1 Microphone
The App uses microphone input for frequency analysis. Audio is used for live analysis only and is not stored or uploaded by default. When you save a measurement, the spectrum data (frequency/magnitude values) and a chart image are saved only to your device's internal storage. You can view, share, or delete saved measurements within the App.
2.2 Advertising data (Google AdMob)
The free version shows Google AdMob ads. Google may collect advertising identifiers (ADID/IDFA), device information (model, OS version), approximate location (IP-based), and ad interaction data. See the Google Privacy Policy. Users in the EEA/UK can choose via the consent form (GDPR) shown at first launch; iOS users can choose via the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
2.3 Payments
The one-time, permanent ad-removal purchase is processed by Google Play / Apple App Store. The App never collects or stores payment details; it only verifies the purchase via the store receipt.
3. Data Retention
The App itself collects and stores no personal data on any server. Saved measurements and images exist only on your device and are removed when you delete them in the App or uninstall the App.
4. Children
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
5. Your Choices
You can revoke microphone permission at any time in device settings (live analysis will then not function). You can change personalized-ads consent via device settings (reset advertising ID, ATT settings) or by reinstalling the App.
