StitchWise Privacy Policy
StitchWise Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 August 2026
1. Overview
StitchWise (the "app") is a personal viewer for machine embroidery design files (PES, DST, JEF and others). The app requires no account and never transmits your design files to any server. All processing — parsing and rendering included — happens entirely on your device. The operator cannot access your designs.
2. Information We Handle
2.1 Design files
Design files you pick, or hand to StitchWise via "Open with"/share (including zip archives), are copied into the app's private storage and kept only on your device. Design files are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted for analysis, and the operator cannot see their contents. Removing a design in the app, or deleting the app, removes the copy and its thumbnail.
2.2 Library metadata
File names, stitch counts, sizes, color counts, folder assignments and open timestamps are stored only in an on-device database.
2.3 Advertising data
The free version may show ads. In that process, advertising identifiers (ADID/IDFA), device information (model, OS version), approximate location (IP-based) and ad interaction data may be collected by advertising providers. Users in the EEA/UK can choose personalized or non-personalized ads through the ad SDK's consent flow (GDPR), and iOS users through the App Tracking Transparency prompt. Purchasing Pro removes ads.
2.4 Payments
The one-time Pro purchase is processed by the store the app was installed from (e.g. Google Play). The app never collects or stores payment details; it only verifies the purchase via the store receipt.
3. Retention and Deletion
The app keeps no personal data on any server. Design copies, thumbnails and library records exist only on your device and are removed when you delete them in the app or uninstall the app.
4. Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
5. Your Rights
You can delete stored designs and records in the app at any time. Ad personalization consent can be changed in your device settings or the ad SDK's consent manager.
