1. What the App Is

StitchWise (the "app") is a viewer for machine embroidery design files you already own. The app does not sell, distribute or broker designs, and it is not a digitizing (design creation) tool.

2. Design Copyright and Your Responsibility

Copyright in design files belongs to their creators (digitizers and sellers). You must only load files you have the right to use; you are responsible for any violation. The app never transmits, shares or redistributes your designs anywhere.

3. Displayed Information Is Informational

The following information shown by the app is an estimate for reference, not a guarantee:

• Thread colors and catalog numbers — some formats (DST, EXP and others) store no thread color information at all, so the app shows a nearest-color estimate (marked as estimated in the app). Even when a file carries thread data, actual thread may differ.
• Estimated stitch-out time — based on average home machine speeds; your machine, settings and fabric will vary.
• Hoop fit — computed from design dimensions only, without mounting or stabilizer margins.

The operator is not liable for material or time losses from preparing thread, fabric or stabilizer, or from stitching, in reliance on this information. Always confirm with your machine manufacturer's guidance and a test stitch-out before committing.

4. Format Support and Its Limits

The app reads PES, PEC, DST, JEF, EXP and VP3. Proprietary formats without public specifications, such as Wilcom EMB, are not supported — the app says so explicitly. Damaged or non-conforming files may fail to open or may display only partially.

5. Free Features and Pro

Opening and rendering files is free and unlimited. Pro is a one-time purchase (not a subscription) adding convenience features: all thread brand catalogs, unlimited folders, simulation speed control, image export, and no ads. Refunds follow the refund policy of the store you purchased from. If Pro is deactivated, folders you created and designs you saved are never deleted or locked.

6. Advertising

The free version may display ads. Ad content is provided by ad networks; the operator does not endorse individual advertisements.

7. Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental or special damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the app.

8. Changes

These terms may be revised; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page.
