Zoothe Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 11, 2026

1. Overview

Zoothe (the "App") plays calming sounds for pets (dogs, cats, birds, and small animals). The App requires no account and transmits no data to any server. Everything runs on your device.

2. Information We Process

2.1 Microphone (Away Mode)

In Away Mode, the App uses the microphone only to compute real-time sound levels (decibels) to detect barking or crying. No audio is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted. Only detection events (timestamp and peak decibel value) are kept on your device, and you can delete them in the App. The microphone is active only while Away Mode is on.

2.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows Google AdMob ads. Google may collect advertising identifiers (ADID/IDFA), device information (model, OS version), approximate location (IP-based), and ad interaction data. See the Google Privacy Policy. Users in the EEA/UK can choose personalized or non-personalized ads via the consent form (GDPR); iOS users are asked via App Tracking Transparency (ATT).

2.3 Purchases

The one-time "Remove Ads" purchase is processed by Google Play / Apple App Store. The App never collects or stores payment details; it only verifies the purchase via the store receipt.

3. Retention and Deletion

The App collects no personal data on any server. Detection events and settings are stored only on your device and are removed when you delete them in the App or uninstall the App.

4. Children

The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

5. Your Controls

You can revoke microphone permission anytime in device settings (Away Mode will stop working; sound playback remains available). You can change ad personalization via device settings (reset advertising ID, ATT settings) or by reinstalling the App.
