1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TankLog (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App immediately.
2. Description of Service
TankLog is an aquarium water-quality logging tool. It lets you record tanks, water test readings, water changes, and reminders. All app data (tanks, readings, photos, notes) is stored locally on your device; the App does not require an account and does not sync data to any server operated by us.
3. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
4. App Availability
We aim to provide the App on a continuous basis but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time without prior notice and without liability.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App except as permitted by law
- Use the App in any way that could damage or impair its operation
6. Intellectual Property
All content within the App, including its design, code, and graphics, is owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent. Your own tank data and photos remain yours.
7. Disclaimer
The App provides parameter status indicators (e.g. normal/high/low readings) for general reference only and is not a substitute for professional aquarium, veterinary, or scientific advice. You are solely responsible for the care of your aquarium and livestock. THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
8. In-App Purchases
TankLog offers an optional one-time, non-consumable purchase ("Pro") that unlocks unlimited tanks, full parameter charts, chart overlay, and CSV export. Purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not collect or store your payment information. Purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or the store's own refund policy — refund requests must go through Apple or Google, not us.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE. We recommend using the App's built-in backup feature regularly.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles.
